Rack Ratio (Type 5 Marketing LLC) respects your privacy. We run a content website, not a data business — we collect the minimum needed to operate the site and understand what's useful, and we don't sell your data. This policy explains the specifics.

Information we collect

• Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and which recommendations get clicked. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies and is used in aggregate.
• Contact form data. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email and message you submit. We use it only to reply to you.
• Affiliate click data. When you click a buy link, our redirect registers the click (which merchant, which page) so we can measure which recommendations are useful. Amazon and other retailers then apply their own cookies once you land on their site, governed by their privacy policies.

How we use it

To operate and improve the site, respond to your messages, understand which content and recommendations help readers, and comply with the Amazon Associates program requirements. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics 4) and affiliate attribution. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking analytics cookies won't break the site. Retailers you click through to set their own cookies under their policies.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics— traffic analytics. See Google's privacy policy for how they process data.
• Amazon Associates— affiliate program; Amazon sets cookies and processes purchases under Amazon's privacy policy.
• Microsoft (email)— our contact form delivers messages via Microsoft's email service.
• Vercel — our hosting provider, which processes standard server request logs.

Data retention

Contact-form emails are retained as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings. We don't maintain a marketing database or mailing list.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser, use browser privacy tools, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on. To ask about data you've sent us via the contact form, reach us on the contact page.

Children

Rack Ratio is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
