Compact cardio marketing leads with top speed and horsepower. In a small space, two other numbers matter far more: how thin the machine folds, and how much noise reaches the apartment below. Get those two right and the machine actually gets used and doesn't get you a complaint; get them wrong and it becomes an expensive clothes rack you're afraid to run on after 8pm.
